If you are new to being a vendor or an established pro, here are some great tips for making the most of your experience! After so long without direct customer contact, vender shows provide a great way to meet to directly engage customers in person. Vendor events are a great way to build brand awareness, make direct sales and generate sales leads.
Coming up with a plan for your booth well in advance will help maximize its effectiveness and spare you from any last-minute surprises. Set up starts at 8 am and you only have an hour and a half, so make a diagram and a list and be sure to have enough help on hand for set up.
Have a banner behind your booth or mounted to your table, wear a company shirt or color coordinate to your brand and wear a name tag! You can have chairs for a rest, but stay standing if you can and be ready to greet people. Don’t be afraid to show your enthusiasm.
Put some thought into how your items are displayed. Invest in brochure racks or wrap boxes in colored paper to place items on for display. It doesn’t have to be expensive- just creative and VISIBLE! Don’t lie all of your items flat on the table. You want to draw people into your booth- make it look engaging.
Promote on Social Media like crazy and let people know about your specials and invite them to come see you- “stop by enter our raffle to win a prize!”. Spokane Lifestyle Show will send you graphics about the show. Please use them!
Make sure the information you collect from visitors to your booth is tracked and followed up on. And the sooner, the better—you’ll want to do this while the event is still fresh in their minds.
